Data Center Software Series: Current/Voltage Monitor and LTSSM View
The Data Center Software offers numerous features to help engineers debug their USB, I2C, SPI, CAN, and eSPI systems. We've recently published two blogs that focus on features, the Current/Voltage Monitor and the LTSSM View, that specifically help debug USB systems.
Current/Voltage Monitor
The Current/Voltage Monitor offers a convenient way for users to correlate USB data traffic with power events, including monitoring USB VBUS current and voltage drawn from the bus by the target device. Users can also use this feature to correlate USB Power Delivery traffic with the current and voltage measurements on VBUS and VCONN, as well as the voltage of CC1 and CC2 lines. LTSSM, or Link Training and Status State Machine, defines the link connectivity and link power management between SuperSpeed USB host and target devices. The LTSSM View in the Data Center Software allows users to track the progression of top-level SuperSpeed LTSSM transitions during a capture. Read the full blog here:
