Looking Forward to A Fantastic 2017.
|

Happy New Year! I hope you celebrated the close of 2016 and the start of 2017 in appropriate fashion – with loved ones surrounding you, high spirits and good health.
Now that we’re a few days into the New Year, it’s good to look ahead and think about what 2017 may bring. I also think it’s important to look back at our experiences in 2016. The world is changing at a rapid pace. Super Bowl 50 – was in our backyard. My favorite NBA team - the Golden State Warriors set the best ever regular-season record of 73–9 and then lost in the finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brexit. The United States and Cuba began to normalize relations. Presidents in Brazil and South Korea were impeached, while a new President was elected in the U.S. Eastern Aleppo Fell. North Korea Conducted Missile and Nuclear Tests. The list goes on...
There is much to learn from all these events. One thing that is clear to me – we are much more informed about world and local events than our parents, and their parents before them. This gives each and every one of us the opportunity to learn, grow and make educated decisions.
That is exactly what we do here at Total Phase. We monitor the market, listen to our customers and take inspiration from our employees. In 2016 we expanded our distributor network in Europe, we added Data Center Software support for the USB Power Delivery Analyzer, and our biggest news of the year was the introduction of the Advanced Cable Tester. With the Type-C market expanding at break neck speed, and little oversight on the quality of Type-C cable production, we felt it prudent to help our customers protect themselves and their customers from faulty equipment. The Advanced Cable Tester has been extremely well received and has helped shape our goals for 2017.
This year we will release a series of adapters for the Advanced Cable Tester, expanding the ability to test not only Type-C-to-Type-C cables but also Type-C to Standard-A, Micro-B and Lightning. We also have plans to release a cable tester that will make Type-C cable testing on the factory floor easier and more affordable. Of course we will continue to improve the performance and address feature requests on our entire product line, supporting USB, I2C, SPI, eSPI and CAN tools.
I thank each of you for your feedback, your engagement, and your business. It is your trust in us to handle development and debugging needs that allows us to continue to grow our products and serve your needs. I could not be more excited about what’s in store for 2017, and for the opportunity to work with all of you to make it happen.
