Embedded Systems Conference San Jose - May 5, 2011 - The winners of the Renesas RX MCU Contest were announced yesterday at the Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley. As a part of the larger contest, Total Phase announced the winners of their Best in USB contest and Best in I2C/SPI contest for the best entries that made use of USB and I2C/SPI. The results were revealed at a live ceremony at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.
"Overall, the RX MCU Design Contest was very successful, and we were all highly impressed with the level of creativity and ingenuity demonstrated by contest participants. As a sponsor of the Renesas RX MCU Design Contest, Total Phase offered additional prizes for the best entries that made use of either USB or I2C/SPI. The Best in USB title and a Beagle USB 480 Protocol Analyzer were awarded to Adam Courchesne for his entry Fluke9010A Troubleshooter POD to USB Adapter. Honorable mentions were awarded to Mike Rosing and Rajesh Chittiappa for their use of USB in their application. The Best in I2C/SPI title and an SPI Development Kit were awarded to Matt Pratt for his application, The Brewbot. Geoff Martindale and Chuck Fricker were also named as honorable mentions for their designs using I2C or SPI.
