The Front-End Web Developer must be a highly creative and energetic person who will be involved in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of a diverse set of web-based projects, ranging from embedded hardware to cloud-based applications. Accurate and timely execution of projects is a critical success factor for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality web-based software
- Develop and design wireframe mockups for usability testing
- Produce clear and concise software documentation
- Solve problems collaboratively in a small team environment
- Contribute ideas for new features and directions for future releases
Other Job Functions
- Graphic design for products and projects
- Develop and maintain internal web-based systems
- Other duties as needed by the engineering and operations teams
As a Front-End Web Engineer with Total Phase, you will work in a stimulating environment that is collaborative, fast paced and technically innovative. The successful candidate will have a track record of high-quality designs (commercial or consumer end-use), completed prior to & on time, within budget utilizing their excellent communication & collaboration skills and technical expertise.
Technical Qualifications
- Must have a passion for elegant interfaces and good design
- Experience in responsive design, mobile web development, cross platform/cross browser development
- HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and Python is mandatory
- Must be able to hand-code standards-compliant products
- Experience with Vue, jQuery, Bootstrap, Node.js, and Mocha is highly recommended
- Must be familiar with test-driven development methodology
- Windows, MacOS, and Linux OS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years professional work experience
- A portfolio of web projects, for which the candidate was a significant direct contributor, must be included.
