The Control Center Serial Software provides an interface for Total Phase host adapters and allows users to control and interact with I2C and SPI devices.
The Promira Serial Platform was developed by Total Phase to meet the needs of customers in the field. They needed something fast, much faster than anything Total Phase had to offer. With projects starting to require higher frequencies and a need developing for multi I/O support with the rapid adoption of dual and quad SPI applications, the Promira platform was created to meet the rising requirements of the industry at large. The tool was created as an all-in-one platform that would expand in capability as applications evolved.
The Total Phase Control Center Serial Software provides access to I2C and SPI functionalities of the Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter, Cheetah SPI Host Adapter, and Promira Serial Platform, including reading and writing messages, XML batch scripting, and more. Additionally, this software allows users to access and interact with the GPIO functionality that is offered with the Aardvark adapter and Promira platform specifically. The GPIO functionality can be combined with I2C or SPI or it can be used as a standalone, which offers users flexibility when developing and testing devices as GPIOs bring additional uses for pins not otherwise natively available. In this article, we’ll provide more insight into the GPIO functionality that is offered within the Control Center Serial Software.
