It’s a Total Phase tradition to exhibit and meet our European customers at the annual Embedded World show in Nuremberg, Germany. The buzz this year is around autonomous driving and IoT – and Total Phase solutions play a big role in both of these areas.

Key Host Adapters and Protocol Analyzers

We showcased our Promira Serial Platform and other popular I2C/SPI tools, which are commonly used for IoT applications when interacting with sensors. There was a lot of interest in our Komodo CAN Duo Interface, which can simultaneously monitor the CAN bus and generate CAN traffic in real time. The Komodo CAN Duo Interface is a great cost-effective tool for automotive applications with its capture and play back capability. On the USB side, our Beagle USB 480 Power Protocol Analyzer and Beagle USB 5000 v2 SuperSpeed Protocol Analyzer  provide class level decoding and advanced triggers for USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 debugging. We also showcased the Total Phase USB Power Delivery Analyze which is a helpful tool for customers working with USB Type-C Power Delivery.

Latest Advanced Cable Tester - v2

It was also the first time that Total Phase showcased the new Advanced Cable Tester v2 – a factory cable tester with extraordinary lab capabilities. The Advanced Cable Tester v2 provides fast and easy reporting of a cable’s continuity, DC Resistance, Signal Integrity, and E-marker values. The tester supports testing USB Type-C, Standard-A, Standard-B, Micro-B, MFi Lightning, HDMI, and DisplayPort cables, as well as the potential to support custom cables in the future. We were excited to introduce the upgraded Advanced Cable Tester v2 to help improve cable quality standards in factories and labs.
